Grace to you and peace,
We are entering a two month holiday season in the church - All Saints Sunday, Christ the King Sunday, Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas.
I especially want to invite you to join us for the four Sundays of Advent (starting November 30th) as we prepare for Christmas. We will be following the theme “A Grand Miracle" which points to the saving, life-changing aspects of Christ’s birth using quotes from C. S. Lewis, author of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We will have special litanies and music on Sundays and a devotion book for you to take home so you can continue learning about the four topics of Advent - The Incarnation, Immanuel (God with us), The Christ-figure of Narnia, and Jesus’ mission to make us his new creation. Although not necessary, you might want to read or re-read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
There will be worship on Thanksgiving Eve at 6 pm with pie to follow. Christmas Eve worship will also be at 6 pm. Holy Communion will be served each Sunday in Advent and on Christmas Eve.
Although this can be a busy time of year, I encourage you to take time to attend worship and re-visit the Christian themes of the season.
Peace in Christ
Pr Eunice
