Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.
I want to start by saying how excited I am to be doing ministry with all of you. After getting burnt out at my last call I didn’t think I would heal enough to lead a congregation again but God is good and has plans for me. I have loved being with you on Sundays and am looking forward to getting to know you. You have been very warm and welcoming.
A bit about me – a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in secondary education, mathematics and computer programming. I also have a religion minor and almost an art minor. I was ordained 17 years ago after attending Luther Seminary in St Paul. I have served at 10 congregations including a 3 congregation group and a 5 congregation group. Part time at one church is looking good to me.
My husband has had a variety of jobs and is now retired. He spends a lot of time working on his art which includes abstract photography. We have 2 adult children who live with their life partners in Saint Paul. Our daughter works for Target and our son for Alarm.com.
I volunteer at the Jackson Center for the Arts and teach fiber arts classes - sewing, quilting, and crochet. My two favorite hobbies are reading and creating quilted wall hangings. I also write poetry and belong to a couple of online poetry groups.
I always come into a congregation with high expectations of there being members who want to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible and participate in the ministries of the congregation. I also feel that the strength of a congregation is their willingness to minister beyond the walls of their building.
Finally, I ask that you keep introducing yourself to me. Learning names has never been one of my strengths. And of course, keep me in your prayers as I do for you in mine.
Peace in Christ
Pastor Eunice
