MISSION STATEMENT:

“Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church.  Our doors are open to everyone. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of loving acceptance, where people can grow spiritually through worship, friendships, fellowship, prayer and concern for the world.  If you are searching for a church home or are currently a member, we want to extend a warm welcome to you!”

I did the math today, and Trinity Lutheran was officially organized in 1949—so .  this congregation will be 76 years old this year of 2025!  WOW!! celebrate that!  God placed this congregation in this community and God has shown you purpose, and continues to do this as you move forward in worship and service in THIS PLACE.  By PLACE I don’t necessarily confine it to the walls and the inside of the church facility.  You are the church- the body of believers, who happen to be Lutheran and happen to be a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  Are you a carbon copy of every other ELCA Lutheran Church…of course not.  But you have a profound gift of community, worship, prayer and study as a congregation.  You are also a church of service.  You are a church of hope. Hold fast to these gifts of grace. Be kind to one another, even in differences.  Pray for one another.  That is church of now and the church of the future.  How that might look as Trinity moves forward might surprise you…be open to what surprises the Spirit guides you towards and into.  Recall this live-giving promise from scripture:

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6.

May is a busy month and has it’s share of distractions that will challenge one’s church-going…..remember worship and worshiping together is a gift.  A gift that reminds us of the promise we have in Jesus Christ.  Come gather, Come and see, Come and taste, Come and hear the Word spoken, preached, prayed, sung, and see it in each other’s lives. Come and give back to God..God yearns for you tto do this actions of worship…worshipping together! THANKS BE TO GOD this worshiping community exists!  May God bless Trinity Lutheran in it’s many expressions in the house of worship and BEYOND for another 75 years!  Amen.
