Dear Trinity Family,
We are definitely in the midst of the hustle and bustle of fall, school is in full swing, farmers are busy in the fields, and every Wednesday evening our church is full of over 40 young people. It is always fun for me to encounter Trinity people who haven’t experienced GIFT who stop in on Wednesday afternoon. The reoccurring comment is something like, “Wow there is a lot of energy here!” A lot of energy there is. It is a joy to see so many kids stream off the bus at 2:10 and watch them interact with each other, the adults gathered, and God’s word. I am grateful for these children and youth, the numerous adults that volunteer time, those who bring snack and the ability to provide a space for us all to gather.
My November letter is once again about GRATITUDE. In the busy-ness of fall or our lives in general it is important to stop and give thanks. My beloved congregation, we have many things to be thankful for. November is also the kick off of our Stewardship Campaign. I am grateful for the hands that make this possible every year, the Stewardship Committee, the torch bearers, and YOU.
As you receive your packet, in addition to the traditional items of the packet, a sheet of paper that highlights a few of the many things your congregation has been able to do in the past year. I give thanks for all the hands that have been engaged in ministry of the past year and the hearts that have been touched. We are a blessed people! We have many things to give thanks for: a beautiful building, a caring community, and a God that abundantly lavishes us with love, mercy, grace, and so many blessings.
As you contemplate your pledge for the upcoming year, I encourage you take time to list your blessings… spend some time in prayer giving thanks to God for your blessings in your life, for your church, and our community. As you make your pledge, may I remind you that we are blessed to be a blessing.
I give thanks to you for your faithful giving to Trinity. For it is through your gifts that the ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church is able to be a vital and vibrant part of the kingdom of God. My God continue to bless you today and always.
Grateful for you!
Pastor Krista
