Dear Trinity Family,

Join us for…

GOD'S WORK, OUR HANDS

Sunday September 8th!

Together in Jesus Christ we are freed by grace to live faithfully, witness boldly and serve joyfully.

Since 2013, thousands of ELCA congregations have participated in this dedicated day of service, gathering to serve communities in ways that share the love of God with all of God’s people. The event has quickly become an anticipated way to be “church together” and “church for the sake of the world.”

We join with other congregations across the United States as they prepare and deliver meals to people who are homeless, clean parks and beaches or write thank-you notes to emergency responders, our service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans:

All of life in Jesus Christ – every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life –  flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.

“God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.  We work every day to make ourcommunities better places.

Let’s join with other ELCA churches across the United States in a day of service.  Join us for worship in your yellow God’s Work Our Hands shirts, or our Trinity shirts or you Live Generously shirt and be ready to leave worship and serve our community.   Trinity Truman will worship at 8:45 on September 8 - (for this Sunday only)  and then go into Truman to serve.  After our service projects we will gather back at the church for lunch.    There will be projects available for all ages and abilities - please join us for this wonderful day to serve together as our church.

Serving Faithfully With You!
