Dear Trinity Family,

Our church is a happening place on Wednesday afternoons!  If you haven’t had a chance to check it out I invite you to come sometime between 3:30 and 5.  It is an amazing to see this much life and excitement in the church.

I want to say an exuberant THANK YOU to all who make this possible.  To the adults who show up faithfully to prepare for the children and youth to arrive, to those who help with homework help.  Thank you to those who worship with the children and youth and then taking time to open the Bible to encounter the story in the Bible in front of them. To those of you who help with the activity to illustrate a point of the lesson.  To those who help clean up after the day is over. Thank you to those who bring food for the snack time.  All of this is possible because of everyone who is involved.  It is making a difference.

I spoke with a parent who expressed gratitude that their children come home and are talking about God and faith more than ever before.  Relationships are being built and strengthened…between our children, youth, and adults.  And an even more important relationship between our children and youth and God.

Dr. Rich Melheim, a pastor, researcher, and leader in faith formation, would not be surprised at this parent’s comment.  Dr. Rich stress the transformational power of relationship in the formation of faith.  One of my favorite Melheim quote is ….

“Where the wisdom of the elder meets the wonder of the younger great and wonderful things can happen in the faith of them all!”

We have only just begun to see how God is working through this ministry.  But great things are happening.  Children are in growing in relationships with faithful people who love God.  May we continue to be faithful to the ministry God has called us… and may our eyes and hearts be open to what God is doing in the lives of all of us.

With gratitude for you! Trusting God is work.

Pastor Krista
